Kathmandu Nepal, a land of heavenly beauty, historical sites, art, and culture is organizing WordCamp this year 2025! WordPress enthusiasts from all over the world are attending the event to the land of the most naturally diverse country.

Kathmandu is gearing up to host WordCamp Nepal 2025, an exciting two-day event scheduled for April 4th and 5th at Kundalini Durbar, Chandol. WordCamp is a global community-driven conference dedicated to WordPress, bringing together developers, designers, bloggers, business owners, and enthusiasts to learn, network, and share their expertise.

This year’s event promises an engaging lineup of expert speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities for attendees of all skill levels. Participants can expect insightful sessions on web development, SEO, content creation, e-commerce, and emerging trends in WordPress.The Program will host by wonderful emcees Aaditya Singhal, Asmi Dhakal, Pratisha Joshi and Utasb Singh Rathore.

If you are attending WordCamp you are requested to follow the code of conduct with pride. Expected behavior includes:

  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
  • Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you help to create WordCamp Nepal 2025 and make it your own.

Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory and demeaning conduct by any attendees of WordCamp Nepal 2025 and related events. 

Ticket Options and Pricing

The Countdown has already started. WordCamp Nepal 2025 is almost here. The excitement is building as WordCamp Nepal 2025 is just around the corner! Unfortunately, all tickets have been sold out, and the final preparations are in place to deliver an unforgettable experience for WordPress enthusiasts.

  1. Standard Ticket: Priced at NPR 2,500 (USD $25), this ticket grants access to both days of the event, including conference sessions, Contributor Day, meals, refreshments, an exclusive T-shirt, swag, and entry to the after-party.
  2. Student Ticket: Available for NPR 2,000 (USD $20), these tickets offer the same benefits as the Standard Ticket but are exclusively for Nepali students with a valid student ID. Only 50 student tickets are available. ​
  3. Micro Sponsor Ticket: At NPR 5,000 (USD $50), this option includes all Standard Ticket benefits plus special recognition as a micro sponsor, an exclusive T-shirt, and enhanced swag. It’s an opportunity for individuals or small businesses to support the event further.

WordCamp Nepal 2025 kicks off on April 4 with Contributor Day—a special event dedicated to giving back to the WordPress community. Contributor Day is a one-day networking and learning event that creates an opportunity for WordPress users to come together and contribute to the open-source WordPress project. On this day one can work together with first-time contributors and veteran WordPress project contributors to make WordPress a better, easier, and more accessible tool to use for everyone. It offers an opportunity for new contributors to network with fellow contributors and learn how to contribute to various projects of WordPress and give back to the community

Conference Day- Day 2

This year’s event is spearheaded by Surendra Shrestha as the Lead Organizer, alongside Regan Khadgi as the Co-Lead Organizer. Contributor day Table Leads

WordCamp Nepal 2025’s Contributor Day, scheduled for April 4th, will feature various contribution areas led by experienced professionals in the WordPress community. The Contributor Day Table Leads include:​

Photos Table: Anil Gurung and Yam B. Chhetri will guide participants in capturing and contributing photographs to the WordPress Photo Directory. ​

Patterns Table: Anil Basnet and Mikin Chauhan will lead discussions and contributions related to WordPress block patterns. ​

WP-CLI Table: Nazmul Hosen and Rajan Lama will focus on WordPress Command Line Interface (WP-CLI) contributions, assisting attendees in automating tasks and managing WordPress sites via the command line.

Plugin Development: Abhishek Rijal, a professional WordPress developer and Sr. Software Developer at Awesome Motive, will guide participants interested in plugin development.​

Theme Review: Bijay Yadav, a full-time contributor at WordPress.org sponsored by Elementor, will lead the theme review table, assisting attendees in reviewing both classic and Full Site Editing (FSE) themes.​

Core Contributions: Ahmed Kabir Chaion, a seasoned WordPress contributor and Team Rep for Making WordPress Polyglots, will oversee contributions to the WordPress core.​

Presentations

The presentations will take place on the second day, i.e., the Conference day. There are topics for every experience level – from starting a WordPress blog to advanced performance and scalability for PHP developers.  National and international well-known speakers are presenting on a wide range of topics, from technical developer-level issues to more educational ones. There are altogether 21 speakers, and among them, 5 are international speakers.

On the other hand, there will be a panel discussion on the topic Building WordPress Businesses: Agencies, Products & Beyond presented by Deepak Ghimire, Raushan Jaiswal and M Asif Rahman from Bangladesh. This panel explores the diverse business opportunities within the WordPress ecosystem, from running an agency to building successful products—or even combining both approaches. Industry experts will share their experiences, discussing key topics such as scalability, revenue models, client relationships, marketing strategies, and the evolving role of AI and automation. This WordCamp 2025 is creating a unique photo contest event for photo lovers. You can capture the spirit of WordCamp Nepal 2025 in your own unique style! The best and the most captivating and meaningful photos of the contest will be rewarded with a fabulous prize! The contest has set up some rules. You cannot edit the photo but keep it real and raw.
